In October 2025, we hosted a family of six from the United States, provided them with a safe, friendly tour to enjoy exciting activities, panoramic views, a peaceful sunrise in the desert, and genuine hospitality.

Challenges
Timing was crucial in the sunrise desert safari. The 20-minute window in the golden hour is the most beautiful. Arrival times should be either exactly or around this period when natural lighting is most visible.
Our team ensured on-time pickup with smooth coordination. In the end, they executed everything as planned, with the guests arriving early (as soon as the first light rays touched the golden dunes of the desert).
Our Approach
The assigned coordinator/tour guide planned and executed an effective approach to ensure a satisfying, personalized tour service, blending route planning through the Al Khatim, performing safety checks in the vehicle, and briefing all the tour guides.
Guests’ comfort was prioritized; we used a fully-insured, air-conditioned 4×4 Toyota Land Cruiser and gave them a cultural experience (traditional welcome greetings, Arabic coffee, and famous dates).
Part of this sunrise desert safari included optional dune buggy rides, sunrise photo opportunities, and a picnic-style breakfast, and more.
Experienced desert drivers, coordinators, and guides made all these possible, as they’re knowledgeable of the terrain and what makes an unforgettable desert safari.
Activities
Personalized pickup service
Our professional driver picked up our family’s guest from their hotel at about 5 AM and briefed them about the entire morning’s itinerary. The overall drive to Al Khatim Desert was smooth, lasting less than an hour.
Sunrise viewing
The highlight of the tour was the golden sunrise moment! We arrived and reached the viewpoint just right in time, giving our guests the perfect opportunity to capture amazing photos.
As part of the tour package, they received a professional photography session against the beautiful backdrop.
Dune bashing
With what the guests described as thrilling (but safe), a 30-minute dune bashing adventure followed! Before the activity, they’re briefed for safety, with the professional driver performing pre-drive seatbelt checks, too.
Camel Ride
For cultural immersion, we took them next to the camel farm where they witnessed Bedouin traditions and formed connections with the desert’s best friend – the camel – on which they had a wonderful, short ride.
Sandboarding
Everyone’s all-time favorite desert activity, sandboarding, followed, wherein the guests went sandboarding down the golden slopes.
Cultural immersion and hospitality experience
Our staff greeted the guests at the camp and offered them fresh dates, coffee, and tea. The guests were able to relax on Majlis-style seating as well.
Taking Falcon photos, having henna art, enjoying a picnic-style breakfast, and more gave them a glimpse of Emirati hospitality and traditions.
Drop-off
After all the activities, the family was taken back to their hotel and dropped off by 9 AM. Overall, the entire safari tour went as planned, no delays or hassles.
